The west coast of Scotland has arguably some of the best cruising waters in the world.
Loch Melfort provides direct access to the best of the west coast Islands. From here you can explore Mull, the small islands of Rhum, Eigg and Canna or venture further to Skye and the Outer Hebrides. Alternatively a trip south to Jura, Islay, Colonsay and Gigha is very rewarding. There are plenty of spectacular anchorages and beauty spots to explore locally, and an abundance of wild birds, animals and sea life to be seen.
The Firth of Clyde provides sheltered sailing grounds and Rothesay on the island of Bute, Tarbert, Loch Ranza and Loch Fyne can all be reached by the weekend sailor. The Mull of Kintyre, Campbeltown and the islands of Arran, Gigha, Islay, Jura and Colonsay are within easy reach for those wishing to venture further afield. Distances are not great and a safe berth or anchorage is never far away. For those with more time to spare then Mull and the more northern Western Isles are a must.
Throughout the West Coast you will always receive a friendly welcome ashore where there are plenty of restaurants, bars, distilleries and historic sites to visit.
Our yachts are equipped with comprehensive charts, pilots, guides and books enabling you to make the most of this beautiful cruising area.
